Job summary

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Suffern, New York. This travel role offers 40 hours per week with night shifts and a possibility to extend the contract.

Requirements include ARRT in Radiography, CT certification preferred, BLS, and 1–2 years of radiologic experience. AC LS preferred. Compensation is weekly and based on experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R); CT certification preferred
• Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred
• 1–2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience; CT imaging experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Capture diagnostic CT images using CT equipment
• Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety
• Explain scanning procedures to patients to reduce anxiety
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection practices
• Evaluate CT scans for image quality and diagnostic usefulness

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R); ARRT (CT) certification preferred
• Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred
• 1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; prior CT imaging experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT imaging protocols

CT Tech Contract Details

• $1,680 - $1,858 per week*
• 13-week contract with possibility to extend
• NOC shifts available
• 40 hrs/wk

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, including appropriate radiation protection practices
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
