Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Grovetown, GA. This role requires 1 year of CT experience, BLS, ARRT CT certification, and state licensing as needed. Duties include patient preparation, operating CT equipment, image quality evaluation, and contrast administration.

36 hours weekly over 12-hour night shifts. Travel position with a 13-week duration, immediate start date, and a tax-free stipend details to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) national certification with registration in CT, and state licensing as required.
• CT techs must stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Position patients and operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Administer radiocontrast agents when needed and evaluate image quality for diagnostic use.
• Maintain patient records and follow radiation safety procedures.

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Grovetown, GA. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. CT Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.

Tasks

As a CT Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiationMaintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.

CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily. CT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
