Fusion Medical Staffing is looking for a skilled CT Technician for a 13‑week travel assignment at a facility in Front Royal, Virginia.

Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary
The CT Technician operates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, positioning them safely and accurately, ensuring proper imaging protocols, and collaborating with radiologists to obtain high‑quality images for diagnosis. The role also involves maintaining equipment, keeping patient records, and following safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure while providing compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
Essential Work Functions
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately
- Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
- Provide high‑quality images to the radiologist for interpretation
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services
- Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Technician practice
Required Essential Skills

- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) while presenting a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
Mental Requirements
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to handle irregular activity schedules occasionally and maintain continuous concentration on detail
Sensory
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
