Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a Johnstown, PA assignment. The role requires 1 year of CT experience, ARRT CT certification, BLS and, when required, a state license. This 13-week contract features 40 hours weekly and a nights shift, with a tax-free stipend and travel coverage.

The CT Tech will operate CT equipment, ensure image accuracy, prepare patients, and relay studies to physicians for interpretation, while adhering to radiation safety and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CT experience required.
• AR RT CT certification and BLS; state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
