Job summary
Bestica is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado. The position offers 36 hours per week on a 3 x 12-hour night schedule in an acute-care hospital setting.
ARRT-registered CT technologists with 1–2 years of CT and acute-care experience are preferred and must work independently while maintaining image quality and patient safety. You will perform a broad range of CT examinations, position patients, administer contrast, review images, and communicate
Qualifications
- ARRT(R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- BLS – Basic Life Support
- Current license in the state of practice
- Associate degree required
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and protocols
- Demonstrated sectional anatomy and positioning competency
- ARRT(R)(CT) – Certified Computed Tomography Technologist
- 1–2 years of CT experience
- 1–2 years of acute-care/hospital experience
- For applicable Colorado positions, fluoroscopy certification may be preferred/required
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to established department protocols.
- Maintain competency in required clinical and technical CT functions.
- Operate CT equipment and information systems appropriately.
- Verify patient identification and physician orders before examinations.
- Prepare patients for CT procedures and provide appropriate instructions.
- Review images for quality, clarity, accuracy, and appropriate anatomical coverage.
- Follow radiation safety practices to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
- Complete examinations within expected timeframes without compromising patient care or image quality.
- Provide patient education regarding the procedure.
- Promote patient comfort and address patient or family concerns.
- Communicate pertinent clinical information with other healthcare providers.
- Follow infection-control and sterile-technique practices.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations, patient information, and adverse reactions or incidents.
- Follow medical-necessity, coding, charging, and consent requirements.
- Participate in applicable quality-control programs.
- Identify and report equipment failures or technical problems.
- Administer contrast media according to established protocols and appropriate supervision.
- Operate contrast injectors as applicable.
- Educate patients regarding safety considerations related to contrast administration.
- Maintain current knowledge of CT technology, techniques, and protocols.
- Assist with orientation and instruction of students and other radiology technologists when appropriate.

Perform a broad range of CT examinations while utilizing your knowledge of sectional anatomy, positioning, CT protocols, contrast administration, and image evaluation.
Work in a hospital-based imaging environment where you'll collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

The CT Technologist performs a variety of computed tomography procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety, following established protocols, and providing compassionate care throughout the examination.
