Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Penn Wynne, PA. The ideal candidate has 1 year of CT experience, ARRT (CT) registration, BLS, and state licensing if required.

You will perform CT imaging, manage contrast administration, and ensure patient care with safety procedures. Responsibilities include patient prep, image acquisition, PACS use, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of CT experience.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT (CT) certification with registration; state licensing where required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, with reassurance.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients to scan specific areas.
• Use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of organs and tissues.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use McKesson PACS.

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Penn Wynne, PA. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.

CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily. CT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
