American Traveler is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a hospital-based assignment in Tucson, AZ. The role requires CT scanning across body regions, along with basic radiography and fluoroscopy, on a 4x10 night shift schedule.

Candidate must have 2+ years hospital CT experience, ARRT CT certification, and AMA radiologic technology training. Cerner/PACS experience preferred; travel position with a 13-week term.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hospital CT experience.
• ARRT certification required with RT(R)(CT).
• Graduate of AMA radiologic technology program.
• Knowledge of CT system processing and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to transport patients and assist with patient care duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis and extremities, including biopsy/ drainage procedures.
• Perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiography, C-arm procedures and OR imaging services.
• Use PACS and EMR systems; Cerner experience preferred.
• Responsible for contrast injection, exam completion, patient care and patient transport.
• Work under Radiologist supervision following departmental protocols.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of hospital and CT experience for an overnight hospital-based role.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scanner department serving inpatient and outpatient populations
• Performs routine diagnostic CT scanning of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities, including biopsy/drainage procedures
• Also responsible for basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiography, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
• 4x10 hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Wednesday through Saturday
• Uses PACS and EMR systems; Cerner experience preferred
• Responsible for contrast injection, exam completion, patient care, and patient transport

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience and previous CT experience required
• ARRT registration with RT(R)(CT) certification requiredArizona CT and RT state licenses required if applicable
• Graduate of an accredited AMA radiologic technology program
• Knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedure, contrast and non-contrast studies, and cross-sectional anatomy
• Must be able to transport patients and assist with patient care duties

Additional Information

• Works under the direction of a Radiologist following departmental protocols
• No specific scrub color required
• Shift includes coverage over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's holidays
• Local candidates will not be considered due to a 50-mile radius rule
• Candidates with gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months will not be considered
• Previous CHS perm staff employees are not eligible if employed within the last 2 years
• RTO requests must be less than one week
