Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III Trauma acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT), and 1+ year of experience.

Details

• Work in the CT department of a Level III Trauma, acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• Perform inpatient, outpatient (Friday only), ER, and scheduled interventional (Friday only) CT examinations
• Serve patient populations ranging from newborn through geriatrics
• Utilizes PACS system for imaging
• Epic charting preferred
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Participate in an on-call rotation Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM, approximately every 4-5 weeks
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• Current BLS (AHA), ARRT (CT), and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or have completed a clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation
• State license must be in hand at time of start; pending licenses are not accepted
• License required if applicable
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
• Skills required include starting IVs, administering contrast media, performing biopsies, and using the PACS system
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation
• Reports to the Manager of CT and Director of Radiology
• Scrub color requirement is teal top and black bottom
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
• Non-local candidates are prioritized over local candidates
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
