Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Travel Nurse RN in Columbus, Ohio, for a Critical Care Float position. The role involves floating across ICU units, providing specialized nursing care during weekend night shifts in a 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 36 hours per week.

The Float Pool RN will work in Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, MICUs, and CVICU, handling vent support, telemetry, IV starts, and other critical care responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required

Responsibilities

• Float to ICU units as needed based on staffing and patient acuity
• Provide care in Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, MICU x2, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU/MICU/NCCU
• Maintain patient safety and documentation across multiple units

Description:

Join our dedicated Critical Care Float Pool specializing in weekend night shifts with flexibility to adapt to unit needs as they arise. As a Critical Care Float Pool RN, you will provide care in various ICU settings according to staffing demands and patient acuity, including:

• Neuro ICU
• Surgical ICUs
• Medical ICUs (MICU x2)
• Cardiology/Diagnostics
• CVICU
• SICU / MICU / NCCU

Float Policy:

Nurses are required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as part of their responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications – Required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records – Required
• Must possess the following skills:
