Job summary

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float in Columbus, Ohio. You will float to ICUs including Neuro ICU and Surgical ICUs, working 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week. A minimum of 2 years ICU experience and required BLS/ACLS/NIHSS apply.

EpIC EHR proficiency and IV/telemetry/ventilator management skills are essential. Travel experience is preferred; housing and stipends are determined by assignment details.

Responsibilities

• Float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing needs.
• Work 12-hour nights.
• Provide care across Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, MICU x2, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU/MICU/NCCU.
• Maintain continuity of care while floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description

Join our Critical Care Float Pool, working night shifts with the flexibility to meet unit needs as they arise. As a nurse in this role, you will float to a variety of Intensive Care Units (ICUs) based on staffing and patient acuity, including:

• Neuro ICU
• Surgical ICUs
• Medical ICUs (MICU x2)
• Cardiology/Diagnostics
• CVICU
• SICU / MICU / NCCU

Please note that nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - Required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record - Required
• Experience with IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management

Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred.

• WB Permit: Access to specific garages on weekends and holidays
• CXS Permit: Available for additional parking during weekends and holidays
