Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working.

You will assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and functional abilities. This 14-week assignment offers 35 hours per week with 7-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State-specific licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

We're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Albuquerque, NM. The right OTA should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients of all ages develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working. You will assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and functional abilities.

As an OTA, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.

OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
