Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Romulus, NY. The RN will deliver routine and emergency care in a correctional facility, working with healthcare teams and correctional staff.

Requirements include an active RN license in the practicing state, 1+ year correctional health care experience preferred, and CPR/health certifications as applicable. Position involves 36 hours per week and a pay of $2,470 per week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the practicing state.
• Minimum one year of correctional health care preferred.
• CCHP-RN certification preferred.
• Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulations.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• TB screening or equivalent per policy.
• Must meet federal, state, and local requirements.
• Candidate must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency nursing care in a correctional facility.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff, officers, and administrators.
• Address challenges specific to the correctional environment.
