Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a remote Travel Consultant to support our corporate clients. You will advise, arrange, and book domestic and international travel across air, rail, and accommodations using Sabre GDS, while ensuring policy compliance and exceptional service.

You will join a 24/7 Traveler Care team, with shifts including evenings and weekends; full- and part-time options available, offering opportunities for growth within a global travel technology leader.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS).
• 3+ years of experience as travel consultant.
• Strong professional communication, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and integrity in handling traveler data.
• Understanding of the business travel industry across corporate and leisure segments.
• Ability to resolve issues quickly, independently or with suppliers.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.
• Evening, overnight, weekend shifts; full and part-time possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate clients (individuals and groups).
• Research travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Book domestic and international travel (air, rail, hotel) with varying complexity.
• Utilize Sabre GDS to manage bookings and itineraries.
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide courteous service and act on special traveler requests.
• Collaborate within the team to coach and mentor colleagues to improve service levels.

As a Travel Consultant, you’ll join our highly skilled remote team, providing outstanding service to our corporate business clients. What You’ll Do

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Global Distribution Systems Sabre usage
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
• Proficiency in Native GDS (Sabre)
• 3+ Years of experience on as Travel consultant
• Professional communication (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Possess a strong understanding of the travel industry (background in business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation)
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier
• Teamwork and openness to feedback
• Evening, overnights, weekend shifts. Full and Part Time

Our Traveler Care team is a 24/7 operation. We have specific colleagues dedicated to the night shift, however, please be flexible and prepared to work afternoon shifts (12-8pm) and weekends.

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$39,200.00 - $72,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
