Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Travel Consultant to join our highly skilled remote team. You will advise and arrange travel for corporate clients, conduct option analyses, and book complex domestic and international itineraries using Sabre GDS.

You’ll support colleagues across the Traveler Care 24/7 operation with flexible shifts, emphasizing service excellence, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as travel consultant.
• Proficiency with Sabre GDS or similar systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate clients (individuals and groups).
• Research travel options and proactively suggest additional services.
• Book domestic and international travel for air, rail, and hotels.
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and email.

As a Travel Consultant, you’ll join our highly skilled remote team, providing outstanding service to our corporate business clients. What You’ll Do

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)

• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services

• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations

• Global Distribution Systems Sabre usage

• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements

• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests

• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs

• Proficiency in Native GDS (Sabre)

• 3+ Years of experience on as Travel consultant

• Professional communication (written and verbal)

• Attention to detail

• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information

• Possess a strong understanding of the travel industry (background in business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation)

• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier

• Teamwork and openness to feedback

• Evening, overnights, weekend shifts. Full and Part Time

Our Traveler Care team is a 24/7 operation. We have specific colleagues dedicated to the night shift, however, please be flexible and prepared to work afternoon shifts (12-8pm) and weekends.

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$39,200.00 - $72,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
