Job description

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead industrial construction projects within the food and beverage sector. This role is ideal for a hands‑on field leader with strong organizational skills and experience managing large‑scale industrial facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing all on‑site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day on‑site leadership for industrial food and beverage construction projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, architects, inspectors, and owners to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.
• Plan and manage site logistics, workforce allocation, material deliveries, and equipment for complex industrial job sites.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, and company safety standards.
• Perform regular site inspections and quality control reviews; manage punch lists and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and progress tracking.
• Mentor and develop field staff, building strong and high‑performing project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on industrial food and beverage or similar industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, quality control, and industrial project logistics.
• Familiarity with food and beverage facility requirements, including sanitation standards, equipment installation, and process-driven environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast‑paced project schedules.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
