Job summary

Aerotek currently seeks machinists with extensive experience for contract roles focused on high-precision CNC machining in Illinois. Work involves Pistons, bypass pills, and DOC fittings using Fanuc/Siemens controls in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

The role requires operating lathes, mills, and grinders with sub-micron tolerances and offers compensation of $40/hr with per diem and a 6+ month contract. Travel to a rural Illinois facility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls.
• Experience working within tight tolerances (preferred if sub-micron).
• At least 5 years of machining experience (7 preferred).
• Experience working with high precision machining operation (production and high velocity).

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-precision engine components (pistons, bypass pills, Diesel Oxidation Catalyst fittings).
• Operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinding equipment with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
• Maintain tight process control, throughput and repeatability in a high-volume environment.
