Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our rehabilitation team in delivering patient-centered care. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, document care, and help with group and individual sessions in a busy rehab setting.

You will collaborate with nurses and therapy staff, maintain a clean treatment area, participate in conferences, and educate families on maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed OTA license required.
• Ability to document care clearly and accurately.
• Understanding of therapy practice within rehab departments.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the OT and follow documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments given and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining the department.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy and procedures.
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program.
