Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join its rehab team. You will work under the OT, document treatment progress, and help maintain a dynamic department dedicated to patient-centered rehabilitation.

Open to candidates at all experience levels, with opportunities to contribute to care conferences, family instruction, and program development in a busy rehab setting.

Qualifications

  • Licensed OTA in good standing.
  • All experience levels welcome.
  • Ability to work in a busy rehab department.

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist and document per facility guidelines.
  • Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
  • Assist in maintaining the department and equipment.
  • Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
  • Communicate with supervisor and health team regarding patient progress and plans.
  • Participate in staff training programs.
  • Record treatment charges per facility policy.
  • Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
  • Record treatments given and progress notes in medical record
  • Assist in maintaining department
  • Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area
  • Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
  • Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
  • Record treatment charges per the facility policy and procedures
  • Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program
Experience/Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
