Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CCU - Coronary Care for a travel assignment in Urbana, Illinois. The 13-week assignment starts 10/12/2026, requires 36 hours per week and night shifts with 12-hour shifts.

You will provide specialized CCU care for adult patients in a high-acuity setting. Active RN license, accredited nursing degree, BLS & ACLS, and 18 months of acute care ICU experience are required.

• Eighteen months of recent Acute Care ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to the patient's family.
• Ensure life support equipment functions properly.

• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.

Duties Responsibilities

Coronary Intensive Care Nurse (RN) possesses the skills needed to manage the care of adult patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions.

• Provide patient care as well as education and support to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
