Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Marquette, Michigan. The role requires providing direct patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, supporting the team with equipment, catheters, wires and medications as ordered by the cardiologist.

The position offers weekly pay, health benefits, housing options, and credentialing fee coverage through a travel staffing engagement.

Qualifications

• Current license in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• Two years of Cath Lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
• Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintains a high level of patient care through clear communication with patients, families, and physicians; supports physical, general and psychosocial needs of the patient.
• Functions under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
• Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, obtaining catheters, wires and medications as ordered.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines; adheres to best practice standards.
• Delivers cost-effective, high-quality patient care in a professional manner; supports an environment of patient-centered excellence.
• Promotes a safe work environment for staff and patients; aligns with national patient safety initiatives.
• Prepares and updates patient records accurately and legibly
