Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 15-week assignment in Carmichael, California. The role requires 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts, with travel staffing support.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of Cath Lab experience, BLS/ACLS, and ARRT (R) CI or CCI-RCIS certification preferred, plus state licensing as applicable. Expect scrubbing, monitoring, and assisting in complex cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience with 1 year preferred.
• Must have BLS and ACLS certifications.
• ARRT(R) or RCIS/CCI certifications preferred; state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist the physician during cardiac procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and patient for cardiac lab procedures.
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Record hemodynamic data and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Provide defibrillation and CPR as life-saving measures when needed.

We're looking for a Cardiac Catheterization Radiologist (Cath Lab Rad) for an immediate travel opening in Carmichael, CA.



The right Cath Lab Rad must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.



Cath Lab Rads assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Scrubbing, monitoring and assisting providers as requested.



As a Cath Lab Rad, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization if applicable.


• Preparing patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.


• Operating and ensuring the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab. Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory.


• Scrubbing in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.


• Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating-hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.


• Monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.


• Participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Cath Lab Rads should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.



Must have 1 year of experience. The Cath Lab Rad must have BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.
