Job summary

Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 9-week assignment in Hackensack, New Jersey. The role requires 3+ years in a Cardiac Cath Lab with invasive cardiac procedure experience and proficiency with Impella and IABP.

40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, days, on-site travel assignment. Responsibilities include room preparation, assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, hemodynamic setup and data analysis, pacemaker support, and ensuring safety protocols and CVIS

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Strong experience with invasive cardiac procedures.
• Required experience with Impella and IABP.
• Preferred experience with permanent pacemaker placement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, and equipment for cardiac cath procedures.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor hemodynamic equipment.
• Obtain and analyze hemodynamic data, including cardiac output and oximetry.
• Operate power injectors and other sterile equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and monitoring during procedures.
• Maintain CVIS and ensure readiness of procedure rooms.
• Participate in on-call rotation and adhere to safety protocols.

Job Summary

• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, and specialized equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Support both temporary and permanent pacemaker placements.
• Assist with circulatory support devices such as Impella and IABP.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor hemodynamic equipment.
• Obtain, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data, including cardiac output and oximetry readings.
• Operate power injectors and other associated sterile equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and monitoring throughout procedures.
• Maintain digital imaging and cardiovascular information systems (CVIS).
• Support vascular access, sheath removal, radial band application, and hemostasis.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure readiness of procedure rooms.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection prevention protocols.
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on equipment.
• Minimum of 3 years recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required.
• Strong experience with invasive cardiac procedures.
• Required experience with Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).
• Preferred experience with permanent pacemaker placement.
