Patient Age Group: Adult, Geriatric (cardiac and electrophysiology patient population)
Number of Beds: Approximately 438 beds across the Ellis Medicine system
Ratios: N/A for EP Tech (procedure-based assignment in the EP Lab)
Minimum Experience: 2+ years recent EP Lab experience preferred; experience with EP studies, ablations, pacemaker implants, ICD/AICD implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and cardiac rhythm management procedures
Ventilators: Yes, ventilator support available for sedated and high-acuity cardiac patients
Drips/Machine Experience: EP recording systems, cardiac stimulators, RF ablation equipment, 3D mapping systems (Carto/EnSite preferred), hemodynamic monitoring, temporary pacemakers, ICD testing, defibrillators, EKG systems, and IV infusion pumps
Common Diagnosis: Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia (VT), bradyarrhythmias, heart block, and other cardiac arrhythmias requiring device implantation or ablation
Required Certs: BLS required; ACLS and RCES preferred/commonly requested for EP travelers
Technology Experience: EPIC preferred, Centricity documentation systems, electrophysiology mapping systems, intracardiac recording systems, and device interrogation/programming experience
Float/On-Call Requirements: May float between EP Lab and Cath Lab as needed. No call required and no weekend coverage.
Orientation Frequency: Weekly
RTO/Shift/Scheduling Restrictions:
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: AM shift, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (4x10s)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
No call
No weekends
Limited RTO preferred during contract; all requested time off should be disclosed at submission.
EP Lab: Under minimal supervision, the Rad Tech/CVT will scrub utilizing sterile technique and assist cardiologists with electrophysiology procedures as follows: Pacemaker and/or AICD implants Generator changes/lead revisions EP studies/ablations
