Qualifications

Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. This position prepares patients and equipment for cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), peripheral vascular, pacemaker, and interventional radiology procedures. The role provides procedural assistance, monitors and documents hemodynamic data, manages access sites, and supports pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Licensed Radiologic Technologist; High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) experience; cardiac catheterization laboratory experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
• Responsibilities: Prepare patients and equipment for procedures; provide procedural assistance before, during, and after procedures; monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data; assess and manage access sites; communicate access-site findings to the physician; and adhere to cardiac catheterization laboratory on-call protocols.
• Schedule: Day shift, 9-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; four-day schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one to two weekend ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) on-call shifts.
