Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, Cardiac Cath Lab San Antonio, TX. The technologist supports cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures, including complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), peripheral interventions, device implants, and electrophysiology procedures. The role participates in scheduled shifts and on-call coverage while supporting safe, efficient patient care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience; experience with complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI); experience with Impella placement and management; experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement and management; recording experience; one of the following certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Preferred Qualifications: Electrophysiology laboratory experience; experience with electrophysiology device placement, ablations, and studies; peripheral vascular intervention experience; flexibility with scheduling; willingness to take additional call.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekday call is approximately 12 nights per week from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with one 24-hour weekend call assignment per month.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include right- and left-heart catheterizations, diagnostic and interventional peripheral procedures, complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), EKOS procedures, patent foramen ovale occluder placement, nitric oxide studies, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implants, electrophysiology ablations, and Watchman implants. The technologist may support both the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories.
