Job summary

Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment in Orange Park, Florida. The position runs for 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts and rotating weekends/on-call as needed.

Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in invasive cardiovascular procedures in a state-of-the‑art laboratory setting. This role requires a commitment to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations as needed. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in the field.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 370
• Patient Ratios: N/A – procedural position
• Type of Equipment: GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, Penumbra
• Documentation System: MacLab/Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with various cardiac procedures including Diagnostic Left Heart Cath, PCI, STEMI, Stroke, Carotid Stenting, and Peripheral diagnostic and intervention.
• Scrub and monitor during Left Heart Cath, Right Heart Cath, PCI, STEMI, and peripheral procedures.
• Support in prep and recovery areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or similar setting.
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Advanced skills in scrubbing for invasive procedures and patient monitoring.
• Required certifications include either RCIS, RCES, or RT(R).

Shift Information

Standard scheduling consists of four 10‑hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and participation in on‑call duties.

Additional Information

This position offers access to newer procedure rooms and advanced equipment. The Cath Lab team consists of 5‑10 physicians, and a dedicated charge nurse is present to facilitate workflow throughout the day. We strive to create a dynamic and supportive work environment.
