Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 20-week assignment in Normal, Illinois. Start Date: 09/13/2026.

The role involves preparing patients and equipment, supporting interventional cardiovascular procedures, and maintaining patient safety in a high‑pressure lab environment. You will operate imaging and monitoring equipment, scrub in for sterile field setup, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, stents; operate fluoroscopy and monitoring equipment.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup per infection control protocols.
• Perform sheath removal and hemostasis with manual compression or devices as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and proper storage of sterile instruments.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and proper use of lead aprons and dosimeters.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
