Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a community hospital in Topeka, Kansas. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 40 hours per week on a 4x10 day shift (8:00 AM–6:00 PM). First-time travelers are welcome and may float within scope of practice.

Requirements include at least 1 year in a cath lab, BLS, ARRT (R) or RCIS, Kansas license if ARRT certified, and EPIC charting preferred. EP procedures and venous access are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cath lab setting.
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS
• Kansas state license required if ARRT certified
• License required if applicable
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker, TAVR, and Watchman
• Perform EP studies including cardiac ablation, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure
• Perform venous access, central venous access, port accessing/management, and EKG lead placement
• May float to similar units within scope of practice as needed
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Receives brief orientation when floating to other units
