Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel Cath Lab Tech for a 13-week assignment at a facility in Porterville, CA. The role requires experience in cardiac catheterization and imaging support.

Qualifications

  • One year recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
  • ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license (state compliant).
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification preferred.
  • Additional certifications and licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents; operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, maintaining infection control and procedural protocols.
  • Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
  • Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies; ensure proper storage of sterile instruments and medications.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols, wear lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters.
  • Comply with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
