• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure sterilization and aseptic techniques in the lab environment.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a day shift position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in advanced cardiac care and possess excellent critical thinking skills. This role requires commitment to on-call responsibilities in addition to routine patient care duties in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Cath Lab for patients with cardiac conditions.
• Assist in performing various cardiac procedures, including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Pacemaker insertions.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergency situations.
• Ensure sterilization and aseptic techniques in the lab environment.
• Work collaboratively with the cardiology team and support staff in patient management.
• Participate in patient education regarding cardiac care and post-procedure recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab setting.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or Compact License.
