Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a strong background in catheterization lab procedures and the ability to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and administer patient care in the catheterization lab.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist in the performance of cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage post-procedural care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the Cath Lab.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures and post-care instructions.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska. Candidates with a pending license may be considered but must obtain the license for an automatic offer.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or relevant setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• Prior experience in Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) is a plus.
• Ability to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

Schedule

• Shift: 4x10 Hour Days (07:00 - 17:00)
• On-call required: Yes - 1 day per week and 4th/5th weekend.
• Weekend rotation involves on-call duty and approximately 1 Saturday per month.

Additional Information

• Time off requests will be approved on an individual basis, only 1 request allowed per 13-week assignment.
• Guaranteed hours: 70 hours every 2 weeks, with the potential for 1 shift cancellation.
• Scrub color provided and parking is free.
• Charting is done using Epic system.
