American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and a CA RN license. The role is based in California with 10-hour day shifts on a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating call coverage.

Requirements include active CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, and two professional references. Additional details cover Cerner EMR usage, 24/7 support, and hospital scrubs provided.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required.
• 2 professional references: one supervisor in last 12 months, one peer/supervisor in last 3 years with employment dates and rehire eligibility.
• Driver's license copy reflecting name exactly as on government ID.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a Level 2 trauma facility with 2 beds.
• Average 8 cases per day including cardiac invasive and peripheral procedures.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Day shift schedule, Mon-Fri, 10-hour shifts, ~7am start.
• Call required, at least every other weekend 1530-0700 with 30-minute response.
• Average 12 call days per assignment, up to 18 depending on staffing.
• Rotating holiday call coverage; no floating required.
• Charge nurse and dedicated Cath Lab/IR techs on staff.
• 24/7 RT and pharmacy support, plus dedicated IV team.
• Candidates not scrubbing will be considered.
• Perform a wide range of cardiac invasive and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Hospital scrubs provided; orientation typically 1-2 shifts.
