American Traveler is hiring an EP Tech for a Level II Trauma Center's EP Lab, offering 4-day shifts with 8 hours per day and no weekend rotation. Travel contracts are traveler-friendly with housing and licensure reimbursements.

Role involves 2+ years EP lab experience with ablations and device implants, performing complex studies and implants while maintaining 1:1 patient care and supporting CRNA services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience with ablations and device implants.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • ARRT, RT, or RCIS required; RCES preferred (license required if applicable).
  • High school diploma/GED required; associate's degree in applied science preferred.
  • Experience with panning table equipment.
  • Strong arrhythmia recognition, treatment, and critical patient assessment skills.

Responsibilities

  • EP Lab with 2 procedure rooms in a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Magnet-designated hospital.
  • Adult patients with arrhythmias requiring EP studies, ablations, pulse field ablations, and device implants.
  • Also performs laser lead extractions, cryoablations, and cardioversions.
  • 1:1 patient ratio with CRNA support for 95% of cases and charge nurse coverage M-F 0600-1630.
  • 8-hour day shifts, 4 days per week with rotating day off, typically 0600-1630 with possible extension to 1800-2100.
  • No weekend rotation and no on-call, but 3 late shifts every 2 weeks; rare holiday 4-hour block.
  • Uses Epic Cupid, Carto mapping, Pruka, Alaris, and Omnicell systems (experience preferred).
  • Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.
  • First-time travelers will be considered with appropriate experience.
  • Former permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler.
  • 4-day facility and unit orientation provided.
  • Scrubs provided; Free parking available.
  • Time off requests require manager approval.
