Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with at least 18 months of cardiac cath lab experience for a hospital-based cardiovascular unit.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirement as part of the schedule
• Weekend requirements to be discussed with manager
• Uses EPIC charting system
• May float within scope to sister facilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of experience in Cath Lab specialty required, 2+ years preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT-R and CCI RCIS certifications required
• Certified/Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred
• License required if applicable
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, IABP placement/removal, and cardiac stent/closure device procedures
• Skilled in scrub and circulator roles, sterile technique, and infection control practices
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with middle adult and older adult patient populations
• One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, maintaining sterile field, and serving as room circulator during procedures
• Facility is a smoke-free environment requiring nicotine-free status with negative 10-panel drug and cotinine screening
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• Scrub color required is ceil blue
• EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation with limited retake attempts
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly once confirmed for assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start
• Permanent staff cannot return to the facility for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months with a required 6-month break before returning to a Cleveland Clinic location
