Job summary

StoryPoint Group in Ohio is seeking a Travel Caregiver to provide compassionate, resident-focused support at senior living communities across assigned counties. This PRN/contingent role offers 8- or 12-hour shifts based on community needs.

You will assist with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, dining support, and basic care tasks, while following care plans and safety guidelines. Driving up to 45–50 miles may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, geriatrics, or with the elderly population preferred.
• Desire to work with geriatric population essential.
• Driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Training per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide care support to communities within assigned geographical region.
• Comfortable driving up to an hour (45-50 miles).
• Bathe and clean residents as needed, including bed baths, showers, and whirlpool services.
• Assist in grooming (teeth, hair, nails, makeup, shaving) for residents.
• Assist residents with dressing and maintaining dignity.
• Make beds and keep rooms tidy; organize belongings.
• Assist with dining for residents needing help and setup meals.
• Follow medication administration protocols as identified for each resident.
• Answer emergency calls promptly and report changes to nurse or Wellness Director.
• Assist with bathroom needs and changing incontinent briefs as needed (every 2 hours or more).
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities; monitor skin health and changes.
• Clean mobility aids and equipment; maintain a safe environment.
• Assist in activities and transfer or discharge as needed.
• Complete daily assignment sheets and follow infection control procedures.
