Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a travel assignment in Garner, North Carolina. The role requires 1 year of Echo Tech experience, BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS certification, and state licensing where required. The position is 13 weeks long with 40 hours per week, shift days.

The Echo Tech will perform echocardiographic studies, educate patients, and maintain equipment and records, using PACS. Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of Echo Tech experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification and state licensing when required.
• Echo Techs should be able to stand/walk for long periods and have sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family regarding procedures performed.
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies.
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams.
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards.
• Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations.
• Demonstrate understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images.
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation.
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study.
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for an Echocardiogram Technologist (Echo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Garner, NC. The right Echo Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an Echo Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed

Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
