Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for a 3–4 month travel-based role performing in-home imaging across the region.

You will travel to patient homes, operate portable ultrasound equipment, and conduct echocardiograms and vascular scans per protocol. Ideal candidates hold RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS credentials, are BLS certified, and comfortable working independently in non-traditional settings while maintaining professional patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g., RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS).
• Full-time or near full-time availability.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a PC and reliable internet; tech-savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field environments.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Travel to patient homes regionally to conduct in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment on site.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain high-quality ASE-standard imaging practices.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.

About The Role

We are expanding our Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to join an exciting new decentralized clinical study. In this role, you will travel regionally (may be local or across state lines) to patient homes to conduct in- home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, averaging approximately 25 visits per month. Travel expenses incurred per visit may include mileage, airfare, and hotel accommodations, reimbursed on a per-visit basis. The monthly stipend reflects both scan compensation and guaranteed availability for a period of 3-4 months with the potential to extend.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits, averaging 25 visits a month
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment

WHAT YOU BRING | REQUIREMENTS

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging required (e.g. RDCS or RCS plus RVT or RVS through ARDMS or CCI)
• Full time, or close to full time, availability
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required; tech savvy and self sufficient with digital tools
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
• Time management and organizational skills
