Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Waterbury, CT seeks a Travel Cath Lab Technologist with 1 year of cath lab experience to join our team for a 17-week assignment. The role requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and active BLS/ACLS and ARRT (R) certs; CCI‑RCIS preferred or state licensing as required.

As a Cath Lab Rad, you will scrub, monitor, and assist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring room readiness, equipment setup, and data collection while traveling to facilities

Qualifications

• 1 year of cath lab experience.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) CI preferred or CCI‑RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in during procedures and assist the physician with catheter maneuvering.
• Prepare the Cardiac Lab and equipment, ensure sterility and readiness of instruments and supplies.
• Monitor hemodynamic data and operate fluoroscopic equipment during cardiac procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and participate in life-saving measures as needed.

We're looking for a Cardiac Catheterization Radiologist (Cath Lab Rad) for an immediate travel opening in Waterbury, CT.

The right Cath Lab Rad must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Cath Lab Rads assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Scrubbing, monitoring and assisting providers as requested.

As a Cath Lab Rad, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
• Preparing patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
• Operating and ensuring the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab. Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory.
• Scrubbing in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.
• Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating-hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
• Monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
• Participating in life‑saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Cath Lab Rads should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.

Must have 1 year of experience. The Cath Lab Rad must have BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI‑RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.
