Responsibilities

• Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
• Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintains communication with patients, families, and physicians to address needs.
• Works under the direction and supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
• Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment and obtaining catheters, wires and medications.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
• Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Promotes a safe, patient-focused environment and timely, compassionate care.
• Prepares and updates patient records accurately.
