Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Austin, Texas. The role requires 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization and relevant certifications such as BLS/ACLS/ARRT. Duties include scrubbing, assisting physicians, and data collection in the cath lab.

The position offers a 40-hour work week with dayshift availability and travel compensation as part of a comprehensive benefits package. Texas licensure requirements apply where required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience
• BLS, CCI (RCIS), ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification
• state specific licensing when required

Responsibilities

• Preparing the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock and instrument sterilization.
• Preparing patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures and calibrating equipment.
• Operating and QC’ing all equipment in the cardio lab and assisting the physician during procedures.
• Scrubbing in during procedures and helping maneuver catheters.
• Obtaining and recording hemodynamic and angiographic data during procedures.
• Monitoring the patient’s hemodynamic status throughout the cardiac cath lab procedures.
• Participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR.
