Cross Country Nurses seeks a travel nurse RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Danbury, Connecticut. The incumbent will provide specialized nursing care for invasive cardiovascular procedures, assist with catheterizations, thrombectomy, and embolizations in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule features 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (days), with on-call coverage rotating for weekends and holidays. Requires CT RN license, minimum 3 years Cath Lab/EP experience, and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) RN position is available in a healthcare organization located in Danbury, Connecticut. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for high-acuity, invasive cardiovascular and neurovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, neuro-interventional, and structural heart interventions. The RN will be responsible for assisting with procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy, coiling, and embolizations within a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with variable start times from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Weekend and holiday on-call responsibilities based on department needs.

Required Qualifications

• Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License
• minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiac catheterization (cath) or electrophysiology (EP) labs
• proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in cath, EP, neuro cases
• ACLS and BLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care registered nurse (CCRN) certification
• Cardiovascular (CV), Radiology (RCIS), or Neuro certifications
• neuro experience including mechanical thrombectomy, coiling, pipeline, embolizations
• proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and procedural sedation

Additional Information

The RN will assist in invasive, high-acuity cardiovascular and neurovascular procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment are essential.
