Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Bone Marrow Transplant for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. The Oncology RN will provide patient care for cancer patients, administer chemotherapy under physician direction, and monitor patient progress in a high-demand travel setting.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS and chemotherapy certifications, and flexibility for night shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS and CHEMO certifications required before assignment.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and treatment tracking.
• Be a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families.
• Attend to a great number of details while working under pressure.
• Implement best practice treatment protocols in a variety of settings.
• Oncology RNs must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
