Job summary

StaffDNA® is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. You will deliver specialized respiratory support to critically ill children, using ventilators, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications, while collaborating with the PICU team.

You will educate families, monitor patients, adjust settings as needed, and maintain detailed records. The role offers opportunities for career growth in pediatric critical care and access to ongoing education in a hospital

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/T or eligible)
• Pediatric critical care experience preferred
• BLS/ACLS certification recommended

Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric patients' respiratory conditions and implement individualized treatment plans with the PICU team.
• Administer respiratory therapies: ventilators, oxygen, and aerosols as prescribed.
• Monitor ventilator settings and adjust based on patient response and clinical status.
• Educate families on respiratory care techniques and equipment for discharge planning.
• Maintain thorough documentation of treatments and patient progress during PICU stay.
