Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a BSN-prepared RN for an Inpatient Rehab assignment requiring a MO or compact RN license, BLS certification, and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Typical patient ratio is 1:5 during the day and 1:5-6 on night shifts
• Patient population includes post-surgical, post-stroke, CHF, and patients needing prolonged physical, speech, or occupational therapy
• Occasional duties include IV management and lab draws, but this is a non-telemetry unit
• Collaborative, team-based care with physical therapy and care management teams
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is preferred
• Local candidates within a 50 mile radius accepted at a lower rate
• Nurses will participate in discharge planning from admission with interdisciplinary teams
• First-time travelers are accepted if meeting the 2-year experience requirement
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared for consideration
• Returning staff must have a one-year break before returning as a traveler
• Four hours of mandatory modules completed during orientation
• No telemetry responsibilities required on this unit
• Free parking is available on site

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

• Must pass Basic EKG exam with a score of 80% or higher (up to 2 attempts allowed)
