American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and GA state licensure with NBCOT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with potential floating to an outpatient facility within scope of practice
• Day shift schedule, 5 days x 8 hours, with flexibility to 4 days x 10 hours
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system experience required
• Treats orthopedic, amputee, upper/lower extremity, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological conditions

Requirements

• Experience with dynamic, functional, and static splinting
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, plan of care development, reassessment, and discharge planning
• Skilled in prosthetics/orthotics, splinting, lifting and transfer techniques, and patient/family education
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Returning staff or travelers must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers who cancel or are released must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
