Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Acute Rehab unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule (4x9 hours, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM)
• 36-40 hours per week with 3-4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
• 13-week contract length
• Epic charting experience required
• May be required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliated facilities, including West Valley Hospital

Requirements

• Current OT license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required

• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required

Additional Information

• Provide occupational therapy services including ADL training, adaptive equipment assessment, and pre-discharge planning
• Work with adult patients including those with CVA, amputee, arthritis, dementia, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Perform cognitive and adaptive equipment assessments, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation
• Experience with AMPAC scoring preferred
• Former Salem Health employees must wait six months from termination date before being eligible for travel assignments
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• RTO must be finalized prior to consideration
