Job summary

The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties, Inc. invites applications for a Trauma Therapist at the REACH Center. The role focuses on trauma-informed therapy for survivors, with duties including crisis intervention, intake assessments, and documentation.

The position is full-time (40 hours) with an 8:00am–4:00pm schedule, some evenings as needed. Location includes Hudson, NY and Catskill, NY, offering comprehensive mental health services and community support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; licensure in a mental health field.
• Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
• Proficiency in written communication, public speaking, smartphones, and computer systems.
• Must understand HIPAA privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy in individual and group settings, plus through phone and written correspondence.
• Deliver crisis intervention services via phone or in person.
• Conduct client intake and ongoing assessments using standardized tools.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and logs.
• Support clients with compensation applications.
• Provide clinical support to crisis hotline volunteers and 24-hour crisis line.
