Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare seeks a Trauma Surgical Advanced Practice Provider to join the surgical service line at the Columbus campus. The role includes mixed shifts with 14 shifts per month, performing OR assist duties (optional), hospital rounding, and post-operative/critical care management.

The APP will also evaluate post-operative patients in the office and support trauma care across CVOR, ICU, CCU, and ED settings, with clinic duties several afternoons weekly.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification.
• Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification.
• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform first OR assist duties (optional).
• Rounding on hospital patients.
• Assist in management of post-operative and critically ill patients.
• Evaluate post-operative patients in the office setting.
• Provide trauma support in CVOR, ICU/CCU/CVICU and ED.
• Run or assist in a clinic two to three afternoons per week.
