Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA, is seeking a board-certified Trauma Surgeon Medical Director for our surgicalist program. This role combines clinical leadership with administrative duties to support a growing Level II Trauma Center.

The ideal candidate has trauma and critical care expertise, a minimum of three years’ experience, and the ability to perform routine emergency general surgery and acute care cases.

Qualifications

• Board-certified with a minimum of three years of experience.
• Trauma and Critical Care expertise is important.
• Skill set to perform routine emergency general surgery procedures and acute care surgery.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical and administrative duties as Medical Director of the surgicalist program.
• Build and lead a surgicalist team in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Engage with Piedmont physicians and system leaders and support GME activities.
