The position emphasizes triage and disposition of trauma patients from ER and floor, with no ICU responsibilities, and requires Virginia licensure plus an unrestricted DEA license.

Qualifications

Sentara Healthcare is searching for an Acute Care NP or PA to join its high-performing Trauma Service Team at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center. With the help of the hospital-based Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and EMS partners in surrounding communities, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital’s trauma program receives patients within a 125-mile radius, from Virginia’s Northern Neck to Ocracoke Island on North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

This is a Full-Time position working 40 hours per week , and includes some weekends based on a rotational basis.
